Welcome to Las Vegas

The new hub of Safari-style tourism

Wild horses & burros still roam the beautiful Spring Mountains just 30-50 minutes from the nearly 40 million visitors to Las Vegas annually. Experts recommend that Las Vegas diversify entertainment attractions if we are to create more tourism jobs. Safari-style tours to the wild herds would do just that. However, federal agencies plan to drastically reduce our wild herds in 2015-2016 to approximately 1 wild horse in 10,000 acres.

The non-profit, volunteer SPRING MOUNTAIN ALLIANCE proposes:

1. On-range, volunteer management of stable family bands of wild horses & healthy burros in the Spring Mountains, and

2. Provide opportunities for American and overseas tourists to view Southern Nevada’s last free-roaming wild horses & burros in our iconic Western landscapes.
